Alexei Mlodinow is serial entrepreneur, investor, and surgeon by training. As the co-founder and CEO of Surgical Innovation Associates (SIA), he led the development of DuraSorb®, an FDA class III absorbable mesh used in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Under his leadership, SIA secured initial FDA clearance, NIH funding, pivotal IDE, and significant commercial success, culminating in its acquisition by Integra LifeSciences for up to $140 million.

Dr. Mlodinow earned his MD/MBA from Northwestern University and trained in plastic surgery at Northwestern McGaw Medical Center. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, holds several patents, and has been recognized by Forbes “30 Under 30” and Crain’s “20 in Their 20s.” He now advises and invests in early-stage healthcare companies across a range of clinical areas, and works with SPRIG Equity as a Venture Partner.
